Sunset Drum is a typical Chinese piano transcription, which is adapted from Chinese traditional music and recreated with modem composition techniques on the basis of retaining traditional characteristics of the original song. In the interpretation of this song with both traditional characteristics and modem styles, players should strengthen the combination of piano performance skills and Chi- nese traditional culture from three aspects of the meledy tone, rhythm and grace notes, and emphasize the aesthetic mood.
