China Cultural Center Unveiled in Tanzania On Dec. 1, 2015, the first China Cultural Center in East Africa was unveiled in Dar-es-Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania. Chinese Ambassador in Tanzania Lv Youqing, former Tanzanian Prime Minister Pinda, Standing Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Youth, Culture, and Sports Gabriel, and 100 representatives attended the ceremony. It was said that during the test operation, Tanzanian peo- ple actively participated in the courses of Chinese, cooking, calligraphy, painting, and martial arts. Through the courses, they better understood Chinese culture.
