From an academic point of view, The Apocrypha is an integral text part of Holy Bible containing The Old Testament and The New Testament and its translation has been in the same pace or consecutive with the translation of The Old Testament and The New Testament, displaying its particularity. However, studies on the translation of The Apocrypha and its status and functions are rather limited. This paper reviews the text integration of The Apocrypha, followed by a survey of its evolution in English translation and its text poisoning. The authors make a probe into the religious factors underlying the evolution and assert the significance in research on it.
