摘要
旅游景点解说牌属于景区向游客提供的信息服务,其英译是景区对外宣传的一个重要组成部分,译者译写水平不仅直接影响游客旅游质量,也影响景区文化的对外宣传及景区的国际形象。本文以功能翻译理论,对著名泰山旅游景点冯玉祥纪念馆牌示解说的英译试做分析,旨在提高景点解说牌英译质量,引起译者及相关部门重视。
English translation of public signs in scenic spots,as part of information service for foreign tourists and international cultural publicity,may affect tourists＇ travel experience and international image of the scenic spot.Based on functional translation theory,an English versions of public signs in Feng Yuxiang Memorial,Mount Taishan are analyzed in this paper,which aims to improve English translation of public signs and brings the problems to the attention of translators and administrative bodies concerned.
