国有企业部门规模与经济增长：基于中国各地区的经验研究

The Size of the SOE Sector and Economic Growth:An Empirical Study Based on Provincial Data of China

本文基于一个标准的附加人力资本的新古典经济增长模型的分析框架,从经验上研究中国经济转轨过程中,国有企业部门规模(份额)对经济增长的影响。本文利用1990～2004年中国各地区的数据采用面板数据方法对扩展的模型进行了估计。在控制了政府规模、开放程度和结构变化等变量之后,我们发现,虽然所考察的5个衡量国有企业部门规模的变量在统计的显著性上存在差异,但如果根据衡量指标的准确性进行筛选的话,可以得出国有企业部门的规模本身对经济增长并没有明显不利影响的结论。

Based on a neoclassical growth model augmented with human capital,this paper investigates empirically the impact of the relative share of the state owned enterprise(SOE)sec- tor on economic growth of China during the process of economic transformation.Based on the pro- vincial data during 1990-2004,we estimated the related equations with panel data method.After controlling population growth,government size,level of openness and the changes in the share of agricultural labor,we find large differences in the significance of the five variables that represent the relative share of the SOE sector.However,if we carefully consider the precision of these five variables,we can conclude that the relative share of the SOE sector has no significant influence on economic growth of China during our sample period.
