The constructive and constitutive nature of language and the homogeneity of discourse

批评话语分析产生于后现代的语境下,是对"后现代性"批评研究的一种贡献,其重点关注语言在后现代社会变化中的作用。本文旨在阐明批评话语分析所关心的一些核心课题,例如语言与社会和权力的关系、语言的实践性和建构性、话语的互文性和对话性等,是如何深深地植根于后现代主义,尤其是后结构主义的理论思想中,批评话语分析又是如何通过对语言在后现代社会变化中的作用的理论探讨为后现代的社会批评研究做出贡献的。

The post modern economic, political and cultural context provides multiple themes and concepts for critical discourse analysis(CDA). In return, critical discourse analysis, with its focus on the role of language in the social change of the post modern era, has made important contribution to the critical study of post modern society. This paper elucidates the indebtedness of CDA to postmodernism, especially post-structuralism, on some of the key issues it concerns, such as language and society, language and power, the constructive role of language, the intertextual and dialogic nature of text and discourse.
