Objective To explore the application effect of multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaborative nursing model in patients with esophageal carcinoma operation, in order to provide nursing basis for the patients. Methods 80 patients underwent esophageal carcinoma operation in Guangyuan Mental Health Center from April 2010 to April 2015 were chosen, according to the different nursing methods, patients were randomly divided into the observation group and con- trol group. 40 cases in the observation group were given MDT collaborative nursing method, 40 cases in the control group were given routine nursing care. The health knowledge score, SCL-90 score, nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results After implementation of nursing care for 4 weeks, health knowledge scores of patients in both groups were significantly improved (P 〈 0.05), the health knowledge score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P 〈 0.05). The total score of SF-36 in the observation group after 4 weeks nursing was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P 〈 0.05). The total satisfaction degree in the ob- servation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P 〈 0.05). Conclu- sion The effect of MDT collaborative nursing model in esophageal cancer surgery treatment is remarkable, it can make patients master the health knowledge preferably, improve the rehabilitation, quality of life and satisfaction of patients.
