Theory and Empirical Study on Researcher Evaluation Indicators Based on the Logarithmic Function

[目的/意义]针对肖学斌提出的科学家学术影响力评价指标x指数的不足,研究相应的改进方案以提高评价效果。[方法/过程]提出x'指数作为对x指数的修正,通过在计算公式中引入期刊影响力指标,作为对论文被引量的补充,以更全面地反映人才的学术水平。并通过对图书情报学领域100名作者的实证研究,分析比较这种评价方法在修正前后的差别。[结果/结论]结果表明,分别使用这两种方法实施评价作者的名次变化比较明显,对于大多数论文都获得过引用,或较少论文发表在高影响力期刊上的作者来说,使用x指数有可能获得更好的名次;而对于较多论文未获得过引用,或者较多论文发表在高影响力期刊上的作者来说,使用x'指数有望获得更好的名次。

[ Purpose/Significance ] This paper proposed a modification to improve the efficiency of the xindex introduced by Xiao Xue- bin. [ Method/Process] The study introduced the journals＇ impact indicator into the calculation of thexindex and proposed the x＇ index to make the evaluations more effectively and more completely. And by the empirical study of the 100 researchers in the discipline of the li- brary and information to analyze the difference of the two methods. [ Result/Conclusion ] The results showed that the xindex favored those accrued more cited papers or having less papers in the high impact journals whereas the x＇ index favored those accrued less cited papers or having more papers in the high impact journals.
