大奥,江户时代的实际掌权者德川将军的后宫。大奥的女主人无疑就是将军的正室妻子——御台所。至三代将军德川家光以来,将军的正室每一代都是从摄家或者宫家贵族迎娶,这已形成了惯例。本文依据史料,从不同侧面介绍了御台所生活的众多方面,以期揭开日本贵族社会的一角,使读者更好地了解日本文化的特殊性。

Oh- oku is General Tokugawa＇s harem. He is the actual ruler in edo period. There is no doubt that the hostess of Oh- oku is general＇s legal wife,midaidokoro. Since the three generations of General Tokugawa Iemitsu,all general＇s legal wife are come from five taken home or the royal,which has formed the practice. This paper based on the historical data introduced many aspects of midaidokoro＇life from different sides,so that we can uncover the one horn of the aristocratic society of Japan,and readers better understand the particularity of Japanese culture.
