Health Care System and the Tendency of Reform in Macao

澳门医疗卫生制度与医疗保障是以政府直接提供为主的混合型体系;在政府主办的医疗卫生机构之外,存在一个庞大的私营部门。从近年来的改革看,总的趋势是引入竞争,在医疗卫生体系中推进公私合作,提高政府购买服务的比重,推出居民"医疗卷",提高居民的选择权。

The health care and health insurance system in Macao is featured by government provision mixed with a large scale of private practices. In the last ten years, the health care system introduced competition mechanism to promote the public-private partnership, and to increase the weight of governmental purchasing health services. They also released ＂medical voucher＂ to increase options for patients.
