From Masculine Self to Ecological Self—— The Development of Alexandra's Self Consciousness in O, Pioneers!

从生态女性主义视角分析了《啊,拓荒者!》中女主人公亚力山德拉女性自我意识的发展过程。刚开始女主人公是持男权观念的,对女性特质和自然的态度是排斥、征服式的,后来她逐渐认识到女性特质和自然应有的地位和价值,接受认可了自身的女性特质并和自然融为一体,最终实现了从"男性"自我到"生态"自我的转变。

This paper is an ecofeminist analysis of the development of the heroine Alexandra＇ s self consciousness in O, Pioneers! At first, the heroine is a disguised man, and androcentric, regarding femininity and nature as entities to be triumphed over. Then she grad- ually realizes the intrinsic value and the nature of femininity, accepts femininity and identifies herself with the nature and finally transc- ends from her former ＂masculine＂ self to an ＂ecological＂ self.
