This paper analyzes the history of the development of Chinese medicine and western medicine in China.The author believes that the development of traditional Chinese medicine should keep own features and advantages.The clinical basic studies should be conducted for integrated Chinese and western medicine by modern scientific technology,as well as,the basic concepts of traditional Chinese medicine are the key projects.The trend of the overall development of traditional medicines of each nation in the world is to establish a worldwide common modernized medicine.
