Application of GIS Technology in Forest Resources Management

我国林业的建设和发展速度是非常快的，加之先进的科学技术引入，越来越多的科学技术和管理手段运用到了林业发展当中，传统的森林资源管理问题逐渐暴露出来。为了更好的管理我国的森林资源，地理信息系统的应用显得特别重要。简单的概述了地理信息系统的概念、功能，并探讨了地理信息系统在森林资源管理中的重要作用。

China＇s forestry construction and development speed is very fast, combined with the introduction of advanced science and technology, more and more management methods were applied to the development of forestry, the issues in traditional forest resource management have gradually exposed. In order to better manage our forest resources, geographic information system is particularly important. This paper made a brief overview of the geographical information system concept, function, and discussed the role of GIS in forest resource management.
