随着一些政府间国际组织在国际社会知名度的上升,吸引了大量国际公众的关注,其公共外交功能受到诸多国家的重视,已被各国政府广泛用来提升本国在国际社会的知名度、美誉度和认同度.其中,亚太经济合作组织(APEC)是较为典型的个案.作为知名的跨区域政府间国际组织,APEC能够聚集强大的国际传播资源,助力成员国塑造国家形象和传播传统文化.
As some inter-governmental international organizations become more active and well-known in the international community, they attract not only the attention of the common people, but also many countries, especially regarding their public diplomacy functions. Many governments use these organizations to improve their reputation, popularity and recognition degree in the world. The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation is a case in point. As a well-known cross-regional intergovernmental international organization, APEC can assemble strong international communication resources, and help its member states to build their national image and spread their traditional culture.
