中国社会学源流辨

Discrimination between the Sources and Flows of Chinese Sociology

对实现中国社会学崛起这一目的而言,只有重新认识西方社会学与中国社会学的关系,明辨何者为源何者为流,才能找到实现中国社会学崛起的路径。中国社会学应以"群学"所代表的本土社会学传统资源为"源",将本土学术传统之"流"与近代以来传入的西方社会学之"流"展开流与流之间的会通,立足于中华复兴的现代社会实践,进行概念提炼和理论创新,方能迎来具有中国特色的中国社会学的崛起。

When discussing the maturation of Chinese sociology,one has to reconsider the relations between Western sociology and Chinese sociology and distinguish the flows from their sources if one wants to find a way forward for Chinese sociology.Chinese sociology should view the resources of homegrown sociological tradition as a 'source,' which is represented by 'qunxue'(literally the study of groups).Then one must syncretize the 'flow' of the domestic academic tradition with that of Western sociology introduced into China since modern times.Only by doing this,in addition to vigorous conceptual and theoretical innovations on the basis of the great practice of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,can we expect the prosperity of a sociology with Chinese characteristics.
