Objective: To investigate the protective effect of blue fox bile on D-Glan liver injury model in mice. Methods: The 30 Kunming mice were randomly divided to five groups: blank control group (blank group), D-galactosamine (D-Gain) acute liver injury model group (model group), positive drug sunflower protects liver (0.4 g/kg) group (schizophrenia), blue fox bile powder in high dose group (10 g/kg) group (high dose group), blue fox bile powder of low dose (5 g/kg) group (low dose group), with 6 rats in each group. Intragastric administra- tion, once daily, continuous 10 days and blank control group was given the same volume of distilled water. End time for medicine before 24 h, mice were injected intraperitoneally with D-Gain 500 mg/kg, the last before ad- ministration of 15 h fasted animals and last after administration of 1 h the animals were killed, serum, determination of the activity of serum total cholesterol (T-Cho) concentration and alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST); liver, determination of malondialdehyde (MDA) content in liver, and pathological section. Resuhs: Compared with model group, the high dose and low dose group of blue fox bile powder can significantly decrease thecontent of serum ALT, AST, T-CHO, liver MDA (P〈0.05), which indicates that the blue fox bile has the function of protecting liver damage caused by D-Galn. Conclusion: The blue fox bile has a protective effect on liver injury induced by D-Gain in mice.
