On Chinese Pathway and Chinese Mode

党的十七大提出了中国特色社会主义道路问题,党的十八大把中国特色社会主义道路放到事关国家、民族、党和人民命运的位置上,放到中国特色社会主义事业实现途径的位置上。邓小平曾多次谈到中国模式,阐明了"模式"所具有的基本特征。习近平关于中国模式的讲话,可以清楚地看出中国模式和中国道路的同一性:中国道路侧重从纵断面综述中国的发展历程,而中国模式则侧重从横断面叙述中国的行为方式,它们是同一件事情的两个侧面。

Deng Xiaoping many a time mentioned Chinese model and clarified its primary features. General Secretary Xi Jinping's speeches about Chinese model clearly indicate the unity of Chinese pathway and Chinese model. The former lays weight on a diachronic description of Chinese development course while the latter focuses on a synchronic depiction, comprising two sides of the same issue.
