Rise and Fall of the Central China's Culture: the Role of Translation

中原文化能在中华文化中占据重要的地位,一方面是源于中原地区长期以来的政治、经济、文化的中心地位,另一方面,则是长期的翻译活动帮助了中原文化的建构。本文梳理了中原文化发展史上发生的翻译活动,指出中原文化的辉煌与沉沦直接或间接地都与翻译活动有关,而中原文化的振兴也需要翻译助一臂之力。

The reason why the central China＇s culture has been the highlight of the Chinese culture can be explained in two ways. One is that central China had taken the lead in politics, economy and culture in Chinese history. What＇s most importantly is that translational activities taking place in this area had contributed too much to the development of central China＇s culture. This paper combs through the translational activities witnessed in the development of the central China＇s culture, putting forward that the rise and fall of the central China＇s culture had and has been directly or indirectly related to translation, and the translation is indispensable to the rejuvenation of the central China＇s culture as well.
