Artistic Features of Famille Rose Porcelains of Kangxi Period,Yongzheng Period and Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty

粉彩,又称＂洋彩＂,是釉上彩瓷的一个品种,始创于清康熙晚期。粉彩以娴熟的康熙五彩技术为基础,改单线平涂法为＂渲染法＂,同时借鉴珐琅彩多色阶的配制技法,将含有＂砷＂元素的白色彩料＂玻璃白＂与进口＂洋彩＂融合,使各种彩色产生粉润柔和的效果,即红彩变粉红、绿彩变粉绿、黄彩变浅黄……与珐琅彩相似,粉彩亦运用油料调色施彩,所绘图案微微凸起,色彩丰富,层次分明,极具立体效果。

Famille rose,also known as 'yang cai(foreign color)',is an overglaze colored porcelain variety.It was originated in the late Kangxi Period of the Qing Dynasty.Famille rose is based on sophisticated Kangxi Wucai(Multicolor) Technology,changes single line flatcoating method into 'rendering method',refers to enamel multi-color gradation preparation techniques,and integrates white color material 'Glassy White' containing 'arsenic' and imported 'foreign color' so that a variety of colors highlight soft and gentle effect.
