Several typical fabrication techniques of C/C-SiC composites were classified and introduced in the paper. The characteristics of various methods were analyzed in detail. The application of C/C-SiC composites in aerospace field as thermal strueture and thermal protection system （TPS） material, friction material and optical and optomechanieal ultra-lightweight materials were investigated. The problems in preparation and applications of the material were analyzed, and the future of development was prospected.
