p指数在期刊评价中的应用

Application of P-index in Journal Evaluation

以哲学、宗教、法律、贸易经济、语言学和图书情报学六个学科的期刊为样本，实证分析了p指数在期刊评价中的应用效果。结果显示：p指数与总被引频次和篇均被引频次之间存在显著相关关系，能够较好地实现期刊总被引频次和篇均被引频次的平衡，是h指数的深化和升级；p指数具有较高的区分度、灵敏度和稳健性，以及良好的易获取性等优势。但是p指数也存在忽略期刊时间因素、不能呈现引文分布情况、不能反映施引文献影响力大小的缺陷。

Based on the samples of journals from six subjects, including philosophy, religion, law, trade economics, linguistics, and library and information science, this article practically analyzed the application effect of p-index in journal evaluation in order to explore its possible valuable application. The results of this study showed that p-index was significantly relevant to total citation times of a journal and average citation times of per paper, suggesting that p-index can preferably balance the journal total citation times and average citation times of per paper and it may be the upgrades of h- index. It has higher distinction degree, better sensitivity and stability, and easier acquisitiveness when compared with h- index or other journal evaluation index. However, this article also finds that p-index has some disadvantages such as ignoring of journal time factor, inability in presentation of citation distribution, and inability in reflecting the impact of literature.
