摘要
凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德是短篇小说史上的一个传奇,她的作品《莳萝泡菜》虽短小精致,却最大程度体现了曼斯菲尔德写作的艺术张力。本文尝试从音乐艺术、绘画艺术以及戏剧艺术来分析曼斯菲尔德是如何通过融合文学以及非文学形式来体现作品的艺术美,从而达到塑造人物、发展情节以及揭示主题的目的。
Katherine Mansfield is a legend in the history of English short stories. Her work A Dill Pickle, though short and delicate, embodies her artistic writing techniques to the greatest degree. This paper endeavors to analyze how Mansfield combines literary form like drama and unliterary forms like music and painting to reveal the artistic beauty of the work so as to better serve the writing purposes of creating the characters, developing the stories and disclosing the themes.
