摘要
王袆不仅是明代著名的史学家,他的学术面向还包括理学和经学。王袆的经学思想,主张经学即道学,经学以致用以及《四子》与《六经》同理等;但他关于"七出"的礼教观念则相对保守;而对于孔子庙从祀问题的看法,一方面强调道统,一方面又恪守名教,这在明代是有代表性的。他的经学思想,是浙东经学遗产之一。
Wang Hui was not only a well-known historian in the Ming Dynasty, but his academic interest also included Neo- Confucianism and the study of Confucian classics. Wang Hui's perspectives of Confucian classics studies advocated that Confucian classics studies referred to both Neo-Confucianism and practical use, stressing the equal importance of both The Four Books and The Six Classics, etc. Yet his concepts of feudal ethics and rites on "the seven reasons to divorce a wife" were relatively conservative. His views on the sacrifice offerings to those Confucians enshrined in the Confucius Temple stressed the Confucian orthodoxy on the one hand and scrupulously abided by the School of Confucian ethical code on the other, which is most representative and active during the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, Wang Hui's perspectives of Confucian Classes studies are one of the heritages in East Zhejiang's Confucian classics studies.
