李锦纶是民国时期杰出的职业外交官。他早年在海外出生、求学,归国后从事外交工作二十余年,由于卓越的外交才能和对国家、民族的拳拳之心,使其在许多外交活动中卓有贡献。李锦纶在民国外交舞台的表现,不仅反映了其个人的爱国之情,也反映了民国时期重视华侨并维护华侨政治利益的国籍立法和侨务政策。

Li Jinlun was an outstanding professional diplomat in the Republic of China period. He was born,grew up and studied overseas and then returned to China and devoted himself to China's diplomacy for over 20 years. Owing to his outstanding diplomatic skills and loyalty to the nation,he distinguished himself in many diplomatic activities. His appearance on the diplomatic stage reflected not only his patriotic feelings but also the Chinese nationality legislation and policy regarding overseas Chinese in the period of the republic of China which attached great importance to overseas Chinese and protecting thei political rights.
