Academic Approaches in Humanities

人文学科具有不同于自然科学的学科特性,它是立足于民族文化传统基础之上,具有鲜明个体性和理想超越性的精神创造活动;人文学科学术方法的发展演变可分为三个阶段,即传统人文学方法时代、自然科学方法时代和人文学方法的现代自觉时代;而解读经典,理解意蕴,体验生命,阐释意义,则是人文研究方法前后相续、密切相联的四个学术环节。

Humanities have discipline characteristics, compared with natural science. They are based upon national cultural tradition, with striking individualism and spiritual creation surpassing ideals. The development of their academic approaches can be divided into three phases： age of traditional humanistic approaches, natural scientific approaches and modern self-awareness. There are four subsequent and interdependent elements： explaining classics, understanding implication, experience life, and interpret significance.
