周扬是“我国现代以及当代一位具有特殊重要意义的文艺理论家”。从 20世纪 80年代中后期开始的周扬研究充满了论争。研究者在周扬文艺理论的特质，周扬与胡风的理论分歧以及他在中国现、当代马克思主义文艺理论界的位置，周扬的文化人格等方面都有不同的意见。在周扬研究中，要力避情绪化。

Zhouyang is an important and special theorist of Chinese literature. There are many arguments about his literal thought, suchas the character of his literal ideology, the difference between Zhouyang and Hufeng as well as the research about his cultural personali-ty. So I think we should avoid following personal emotion on the reserch about Zhouyang's literal theory.
