农村户用沼气技术在20世纪50年代就开始在内蒙古地区推广应用,五原县2003年开始沼气建设,并将农村沼气建设作为推进社会主义新农村建设的切入点和重要建设内容。经过几年的努力,五原县已形成比较健全的县、镇两级农村能源服务体系,各项目村均设有村级服务网点,沼气生产技工队伍建设也得到迅速发展。
