The Images of Foreign Race and Otherness A Pursuit of Chinese Literature in War Time

二次大战是中华民族仅有的一次直接参与的世界性战争，它使我们民族直接置身于跟整个人类命运休戚相关的境遇。战时中国文学中的异族、“他者”形象，作为中国作家战争中生命体验的一个侧面，表明中国文学有可能更开阔地在人类悲悯和人性拯救的高度上去拓展自身存在的时空。张爱玲、无名氏、夏衍、侣伦等人用自己对异族、“他者”形象的塑造，为中国文学如何从自己民族的传统出发去接纳人类普遍性价值，留下了久远的思考。

The Second world war was only the world war that the Chinese nation involved in directly, Which made our nation linked together by a common sense with the whole human destiny. As one side of the fife experience which Chinese writers had in war time, the images of Foreign Race and Otherness showed that Chinese Literature had the ability to develop its space time continuum more widely in high degrees of the human compassion and the salvation of human nature Zhang Ailing, Xia Yan and Lv Lun's works portrayed the images of Foreign Race and Othemess; and they remained a permanent thinking on how to accept human common value from their native tradition for Chinese literature.
