Survey On Seclusive Poems in the Tang and Five Dynasties

唐五代隐逸词除了在内容上受到创作主体的个性、情志、际遇与隐居环境等因素影响,有表达向往归隐、交代隐逸缘由、刻画隐逸环境、描写隐逸生活、抒发隐逸哲思、歌咏前代隐士六种主题以外;在写作手法上,则有以调为题、精选意象、运用白描三项特征。综观唐五代隐逸词,实有别于当时为配合歌唱、大量填制的爱情篇章,而其展现之思想深度与清新风格,则对词境有扩展及提升之功。

Seclusive poems in the Tang and Five Dynasties tend to express the intention and causes of seclusion, to describe the seclusive life and environment, to convey seclusive philosophy, and to admire the hermits of earlier dynasties. Its writing style features in three aspects： choosing theme from the tune name of the poems, selecting images attentively, and describing matter-of-factly. On the whole, different from other poems at that time which were composed for singing and love affairs, seclusive poems in the Tang and Five Dynasties demonstrate deeper thoughts and freshness of poetic style, raising the ci poems to a higher level.
