The Development Achievements and the Inspiration of CERN

欧洲核子研究中心是大科学国际合作的典范,目前已有21个欧洲成员国,并且创立了观察员制度。60多年中,CERN建造了众多高能粒子物理实验设施,取得了突出的科学贡献,对我国大科学研究及政策富有启示。最后,分析了大科学国际合作的两种主要特征:第一,以工程为基础的集中研究;第二,以共同目标为核心的分散研究。

CERN,as an example of international cooperation in big science,has 21 European member states at present,and has established the system of observers. Over the 60 years,CERN built many experimental facilities for high--energy particle physics,and it achievedoutstanding scientific contributions,which has great enlightenment toChina＇s research and policyof big science.In the end,this paper analyzes the two main characteristics of international cooperation in big science：the centralized researchwhich based on the engineering,and thescatteredresearch which has a common goal.
