Combined with Blau - Duncan's status attainment model and with the data of more than 1000 alumni from L University over the past 30 years, this paper launches the research that is about status obtainment and influencing factors around the first generation college students for the first time in China. The study finds that although compared with ascriptive factors, achieved factors could give stronger explanation on college students status obtainment influences. Whether the first generation of college students is significant for professional status obtainment is unknown but the route is unimpeded in taking higher education, increasing human capital, achieving the weak class inter-generational mobility. It was also founded that the significant difference is between the first generation of college students and the non- first in ascriptive factors, The research conclusion is consistent with that at aboard. The first generation of college students is better than the non-first generation of college students about part of the index, which enriches the western relevant research findings.
