A Study on Chinese Idioms With “Shui”and Its English Translation Based on Prototype Theory

文章以原型理论为基础,从概念意义、内涵意义和联想意义三个方面对"水"的汉语成语及其英译进行归纳分析。旨在探讨原型理论对"水"的汉语成语创造性的影响力,以及"水"的汉语形成的原型基础,以期有利于"水"的汉语成语乃至其他汉语成语的英译研究。

There is a systematic study on Chinese idioms with ＂shui＂ based on prototype theory in terms of conceptual meaning, connotative meaning and associative meaning. It intends to investigate the prototype that contributes to the formation of Chinese idioms with ＂shui＂ and how it affects their formation. Thus, this will probably benefit English translation and other Chinese idioms.
