论中日甲午战争与中华民族意识的觉醒

近代以来,中华民族的民族意识开始觉醒。期间中日甲午战争是一个重要事件,甲午战争给中国造成了深重的民族灾难,导致中国传统的夷夏观念全面崩溃,极大地促进了中华民族意识的觉醒。甲午战争后,中华民族意识觉醒表现在民族危机意识的普遍产生、民族观念与民族主义思想的逐步形成、以建立资产阶级民族国家为目标的变革思想的正式形成等方面。

Awakening of the Chinese national consciousness began since modern times. First Sino-Japanese War is an important event in this process. The Sino Japanese war had caused a national disaster for China and the col- lapse of the traditional concept of Yi-Xia in China. So it greatly promoted the awakening of the Chinese national consciousness. The widespread generation of national crisis consciousness, the gradual formation of the idea of na- tionalism and Nationalism, the formation of the idea of reform in order to establish the bourgeois nation-state, an so on, are all the embodiment of this national crisis consciousness.
