摘要
加里·斯奈德所译24首寒山诗在英语世界广泛流传。本文从吉恩·图里的翻译规范理论出发,通过研究斯译本与寒山诗原文,尝试重构译者当时所遵循的操作规范。研究表明,斯译本无论是在结构规范还是篇章语言规范方面均顺应了当时的主流翻译规范,因而获得了良好的传播效果。
Translation of 24 Cold Mountain＇s poems by Gary Snyder enjoys great popularity among English countries. This paper aims to study the original poems and translated poems so as to reconstruct the operational norms abided by the translator from the perspective of Gideon Toury＇s norms theory. The research reveals that Snyder＇s translation complies with the mainstream translation norms both in metrical norms and textual-linguistic norms at that time, thus gaining a good communication effect.
