论《诗经》篇目的另立新题

《诗经》之篇名,或取诗歌首句,或于诗中可寻,或取诗中字句略加改动。唯独《雨无正》《巷伯》《常武》《酌》《赉》《般》6首诗篇目另立新题。在诗歌命题高度统一的时代背景下,另命新名,绝非偶然。6首诗篇目正是对诗歌主题的反映。

The titles of the poems in The Book of Poetry were mainly taken from the first line or other pentameters of the poems, or from the words in the poems with slight adaptation. However, the poems of Yuwuzheng , Xiangbo , Changwu , Zhuo, Lai and Ban were taken new titles without choosing neither the words nor lines of the poems. In an epoch of poetry proposition highly unified, adopting new titles was by no means accidental. The above six poeti- cal titles practically reflected the theme of poems.
