Combining with hydrological conditions of Yellow River diversion project in middle part of Shanxi province,the paper analyzes smallsection tunnel excavation digging construction difficulties and critical factors,describes specific construction methods from aspects of construction arrangement,widening section distance and construction procedure coherence,and finally summarizes construction safety and quality guarantee measures. As a result,it realizes fast small-section tunnel construction.
