The Role of the Translators of Modern Newspapers and Periodicals in the Blending of Chinese and Western Cultures

中国近代报刊译者大量翻译西方小说,引进先进的创作理念,介绍西方文明,促进了中国近代文学的发展与进步,也促进了中西文化的交融与沟通。文章着重阐述近代报刊译者在中西思想交流、中西政治文化互通、中西文学交流等方面的推动作用。

The translators of Chinese modern newspapers and periodicals translated western novels and introduced advanced writing ideas and western civilization, which promoted the progress of Chinese modern literature and the integration of Chinese and Western cultures. This paper focuses on the promoting roles of the translators in the exchange of ideas,pohtical cultures and literature between China and the west.
