语言与内容融合式教学改革实践——以英语专业讨论型课程为例 被引量:9

摘要 2015年完成的《英语专业本科教学质量国家标准》降低了英语技能课的比例,规定英语专业必修课(含外语技能课和专业基础课)占总学分的30%-40%。这一要求意味着英语专业需处理好语言技能训练与专业知识学习的关系,探索"语言与内容融合式教学"模式,从而使英语技能在专业课学习中得以保持和提升。本文介绍北京外国语大学英语专业一项教学改革实践,即讨论型课程的建设背景和设计理念,并通过调查问卷、访谈和课堂观察等实证研究方法分析该课程类型的成功经验和存在的问题,总结出由"教师引发提问—学生回答—(教师评价或展开)—教师跟进提问—学生进一步阐述"等步骤构成的课堂讨论模式,为兄弟院校英语专业高年级课程改革提供可借鉴经验和教训。 The newly completed National Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majors have reduced the number of credits for courses primarily aiming at improving language skills, such as reading, writing, speaking, listening, translating and interpreting, to less than 40%. Such reduction re- quires the English Departments to explore ways to integrate the teaching of disciplinary content and the training of language skills in the "content courses". This paper reports an empirical study on seminar cour- ses designed by the English Department of Beijing Studies University, using questionnaire, interview and classroom observation. The achievements and problems of seminar courses are then summarized. It is hoped that the concluded successful model for seminar courses consisting of "Teacher initiation -- Student Response -- (Teacher Evaluation or Elaboration) -- Teacher' s Follow-up Move -- Student' s Further Contribution" will provide insights for colleagues in other universities.
