Objective: To investigate new application of disposable blood transfusion needles in the blind plug treatment of peripherally inserted central catheter. Methods: Two hundredhospitalized patients were selected and divided into two groups randomly. The control group conducted conventional blind plug puncture treatment, observation group used hose end through cutting disposable transfusion tube, retaining only the needle instead of Seldinger puncture needle, and then implanted with PICC catheter. Two groups of patients were treated with the same whole nursing intervention, compared clinical application effect in two groups of patients. Results: The success rate of observation group puncture is 99%, and one time needle puncture success rate reached 82%. The success rate of control group puncture is 85%, and one time needle puncture success rate is 38%, and there is significant difference in two groups (x2 = 13.32, x2 = 40.33; P 〈 0.01). The incidence of phlebitis, incidence of pain and satisfaction rates in observation group after treatment are better than control group(x2=13.78, x2=29.48, x2=21.40; P〈0.01). Conclusion: Blood transfusion tube needle instead of Seldinger puncture needle puncture implantation of PICC catheter can significantly improve the success rate of catheterization, combined with comprehensive nursing intervention, can greatly reduce the suffering of patients, improve the clinical treatment effect and is worth to popularize.
