以《内经·生气通天论篇》为例论中医经典中比喻修辞的英译

On English Translation of Metaphor in TCM Classics in the Example of Discussion on the Interrelationship Between Life and Nature

比喻是中医说理的重要手段,又附着浓郁文学色彩。因此,中医经典中的比喻修辞兼备文学英译和科技英译双重属性。本文以《内经·生气通天论》中的比喻入手,通过对比分析几个译本得与失,必要时结合文学英译的处理方法,旨在总结出更佳的翻译策略,一定程度上为英译中医经典中文学语言提供经验。

Metaphor,clothed in literary hue,is an important means to interpret medical theories in TCM. Thus,the metaphorical translation in TCM classics has double features of both literary and technological translation. This paper focuses on metaphorical use in Discussion on the Interrelationship Between Life and Nature in Yellow Emperor＇s Cannon of Medicine and aims to get a better translation strategy to provide some experience in translating all the literary language in TCM classics,via analyzing several translation editions in comparative way and meanwhile connecting with literary translation when it is necessary.
