Body,Disease and Treatment: Interpretations of Health in Vimalakirti-nirdesa-sutra in the Middle Age as an Example

本文以中国中古时期有关《维摩经·问疾品》疏为案例,阐述了不同法流的《维摩经》学者对于身体、疾病及治疗等议题的思想。具体而言,本文分别以色、法二身论、众生与菩萨两类病因及不同疗愈的观念为中心,从解经学与思想史的角度,探究了中古《维摩经》学者的不同论述。

This paper elaborates the interpretations of body,disease and treatment in Vimalakirti-nirdesa-sutra. Concretely speaking,this paper focuses on the ideas of body and its reincarnation of material world and dharma,two kinds of diseases of sentient beings and Bodhisattva as well as different ideas of treatment,and probes into the different interpretations of Vimalakirti-nirdesa-sutra from the perspective of exegesis and history of thought.
