93.5%。 Chemically enhanced blackwash (CEB) is one of the main strategies to restore the membrane flux and reduce membrane fouling. But chemically enhanced blackwash by-products (CEBB- Ps) generated during the membrane cleaning process can affect the permeate water quality. Therefore, the influence of CEB parameters ( backwash time and backwash cycle) on the generation of CEBBPs and membrane cleaning effect were investigated. The results showed that the increase in backwash time and decrease in backwash cycle both could promote the generation of CEBBPs and reduce the growth rate of transmembrane pressure. In addition, the water yield decreased with backwash time rising, while increased with backwash cycle rising. As a result of the experiments, the optimum backwash time and backwash cycle were 4 rain and 120 rain respectively, the growth rate was transmembrane pressure was 0. 068 kPa/h, and the water yield was 93.5 % of that under no membrane cleaning.
