From “Shocking”to“Accepting”——Gu Jiegang Psychological State On Eve of the Cultural Revolution

"文化大革命"中的思想改造犹如天罗地网,无人能够逃脱。如何反思和批判自身,求得过关,是这一时期人们必须面对的一大难题。"中毒极深"的"旧社会"史学大家顾颉刚自然也要经受此等考验,他在这次运动爆发前夕(本文考察时段为1965年10月1日——1966年8月31日)的表现很有代表性。概言之,顾颉刚最初的感受是颇为"震动",但经过一番强烈的挣扎,待到风暴真正降临之时,他反而"安然受之"了。

In the Cultural Revolution,the ideological transformation like a dragnet,no one can escape.How to reflect and criticize oneself is a major problem that people have to face in the period.The prominent historian of old society with ＂deep poisoning ＂Gu Jiegang naturally could stand such test,his performance on the eve of the Cultural Revolution outbreak（The paper examines the period of the October 1,1965-August 31,1966）is very representative.The initial feeling of Gu Jiegang was quite＂shock＂,but after some intense struggle,when the storm comes true,he＂accepted it＂unexpectedly.
