With the reduction of coal and oil consumption, increasing of natural gas in the proportion of energy consumption, the polyethylene pipes which have many advantages compared to the traditional steel pipe are bound to open up a broader market. The discovery of new gas fields and the implementation of 13 th Five Year Plan are promoting the rapid development of polyethylene industry. However, faced with both opportunities and challenges, polyethylene pipe industry has to make the corresponding change to ensure the advantage position of energy transformation.
