摘要
TC18钛合金径向锻造棒材在进行低倍浸蚀时,发现其横截面上出现大面积颜色异常的区域。采用X射线、电子探针、光学显微镜和扫描电镜并结合该棒材的现场生产分析了颜色异常区域的形成原因。结果表明,这种缺陷深约1-5 mm,硬度偏高,是径锻加热时局部过热而不是熔炼和锻造所致。
TC18 titanium alloy bar made by a radial forging practice,when subjected to macro-etch testing,exhibits a large area region with abnormal colour in its cross-section. Cause for producing the region with abnormal colour was investigated by XRF,electron probe,OM and SEM in combination with on-the-spot production condition of the bar. The results indicate that this defect is as depth as about 1 to 5 mm,offers higher hardness relative to the region with normal colour,and arises from overheating when heated for radial forging rather than from the melting or the forging practice.
