A Look at Studies of Rhetoric in China’s Traditional Cultural Classics and Their Significance:with Reference to DUAN Cao-lin’s On Rhetoric in Poems of the Tang Dynasty

传统文化经典教育和传承不能不以相应的研究为支撑和保障,为指导和引领。修辞研究立足语言还原文化经典的微言大义,立足审美发掘优秀作品的独具匠心,既是文本解读、文化传扬的必经之路,也是学术创新、学科建设的应有之义。唐诗修辞研究依然大有可为。段曹林新著《唐诗修辞论》在这一领域取得了重要贡献和突破,值得重视和借鉴。

It is generally acknowledged a profound study of traditional Cultural Classics is of great significance for the education and transformation of China＇s Traditional Cultures. Rhetorical Studies focus on the subtle and profound language and aesthetic creations in cultural classics,with a view to acquiring a better text interpretation and culture transformation as well as an academic creativity and discipline construction. For example,the study of rhetoric in poems of the Tang Dynasty is meaningful,and DUAN Cao- lin＇s new book On Rhetoric in Poems of the Tang Dynasty is an important accomplishment in this area.
