装帧设计是办好期刊的一个重要方面。从书籍的出现,就有装帧设计艺术的历史。随着经济文化的发展,我国的装帧设计艺术跃入一个新的历史期间,逐步走向成熟和发生新的转变,正面临着三个突破:即现代设计和装帧艺术观念和理论的突破;现代艺术美与民族风格的突破;现代书刊生产创作工艺的突破。搞好期刊的装帧设计,是时代的要求。应遵循社会和经济发展的规律,实现期刊设计的创新。

The design for the modem periodicals is very importart. The history of bound periodicals was born with books. The art of the bound design comes into a new period of history because of the development of the economic culture. Now, three breakthroughs are facing to us, i. e. the one of the modern design design and the theory of the bound skill, the one of the beauty of the modem art and the nafional style, and the one of the technology of the modem book producion. To make a good bound design for the modem perildicals is the need of the time. Therefore, realizing the innovation of the modern bound design should be followed with the regulation of the social and economic development.
