摘要 基于Martin和Hood的关于级差评价资源的理论阐释和分类,以语言学类学术书评为语料,对比分析级差资源在英汉学术书评中的分布特点,揭示英汉学术书评在人际意义表达上的异同,把握级差资源在文章构建中所起到的作用。研究发现,英汉语言学类学术书评中均存在大量的级差资源,但在语势和聚焦以及级差的等级性方面它们表现出各自的特点。 Based on the Graduation system under the Appraisal theory, this paper attempts to analyze the features of Graduation in English and Chinese linguistics book reviews and to reveal their similarities and differences of interpersonal meanings so as to have a better understanding of the roles of Graduation played in these book reviews. It is found that abundant Graduation resources are employed in both English and Chinese linguistic book reviews to up-scale or down-scale attitude. But in terms of Force, Focus and the scaling of the Graduation resources, English and Chinese linguistic book reviews show different features.
