Analyzing the characteristics of a certain social organization should be based on its historical mission andsocial contribution. From this point of view,the organizational characteristic of entrepreneurial university is academiccapital transformation rather than academic capitalism. The academic capitalism starts from profit motive,and its spiritualessence is utilitarian interest appeal,such as academic income,business operation or profit-seeking,which is easy tolead entrepreneurial university to income-generating university. The academic capital transformation starts from thehistorical mission,embodies the social responsibility of the entrepreneurial university,and reflects a pragmatism value,which will become the university＇s ＂third center＂ and lead the reform and development of university. In fact,only torealize the transformation of academic capital,could universities really form a complete and open academic chain,andfully fulfill the historical mission of the application of knowledge.
