Chinese Philosophy: Based on the Solar Calendar

有此树有此木必有此根此本,研究树木不能忘记根本。有其水必有其源,研究水不能忘记源。同样的道理,研究中国哲学,也应该追溯其根其本其源。中国哲学的研究,不能仅仅局限于这部书那部书,因为书中的道理在书外。研究中国哲学,也不能止于这一子那一子,因为先秦诸子论证问题的基本依据是天道,天道不在书中在天文。《周髀算经》《逸周书》《管子》共同指出,太阳可以代表天道。《周易·系辞上》指出,日月可以论自然之道。研究中国哲学,是不是应该关注人文之上的天文,是不是应该关注书外的太阳月亮?

Every tree has its root, while studying the tree, the root should never be neglected; Every river has its source, and when studying a river, its source should never be neglected. The same is true for the study of Chinese philosophy. The study of Chinese philosophy should not be limited to book research, because such information is beyond book research. The study of Chinese philosophy should not only be based on some pre-Qin philosophers, because the basis on which the pre-Qin scholars discusses problems is Dao （＂Tao＂ the ways of Heaven） , and Dao is from astronomy, not books. Zhou Bi Suan Jing, Yi Zhou Shu and Guan Zi all point out that the Sun can represent Dao. Zhou Yi-Xici points out that the Sun and Moon reflect the natural law. With all this in mind, shouldn′t we focus on astronomy instead of humanity-Shouldn′t we focus on the Sun and the Moon, instead of solely relying on books？
